The Problem I Couldn't Ignore
I've been playing guitar for over 15 years. And for most of those years, I chased tones. I'd watch YouTube tutorials, read forum threads at midnight, buy pedals I didn't need, and still walk away sounding nothing like David Gilmour or John Frusciante.
The information existed — somewhere — but it was scattered across dozens of sites, often wrong, and never tailored to the gear sitting on my pedalboard.
"Why can't technology just tell me exactly what to set my Boss DS-1 to for this solo?" That question started everything.
The Idea
In 2023, I started experimenting with AI audio analysis. I found that modern models could identify frequency signatures, harmonic content, reverb characteristics, and spatial placement with remarkable accuracy. The missing piece was translating that analysis into actionable gear settings.
So I built it. First as a personal tool, then as a prototype I shared with friends, then — when the response was overwhelming — as ToneVerse AI.
Where We Are Today
ToneVerse AI has helped over 12,000 guitarists in 40+ countries dial in their perfect tone. From bedroom players learning their first Nirvana riff to working session musicians needing to match a reference track fast — we've built something that works for everyone.
We're a small, passionate team obsessed with making technology serve music, not the other way around.
What's Next
We're constantly expanding our gear database, improving AI accuracy, and building new features requested by our community. AR gear scanning, real-time tone coaching, and DAW integration are all on the roadmap.
If you're a guitarist, we built this for you. Welcome to ToneVerse.
